Notes about the Church There are two copies of baptisms and burials for the period 1758-1803. It is not clear who produced the original or why copies were made, but the copies were produced by the vicars Edward Best (for the period 1758-1777), A.B. Haden (for the period 1777-1784; Haden was curate under Best and became vicar in 1782), and Isaac Clarkson (for the period 1784-1803; Clarkson was curate under Haden and became vicar in 1829). Note that bishop's transcripts also exist from 1673 onwards, and thus provide third copies for the period 1758-1803.
