Notes about the Church This Methodist chapel stood on the corner of Belvoir Street with Stafford Street in the parish of Heigham. The church ceased its role in 1980 and the site has since been cleared and replaced with modern housing. The sect was founded as a result of expulsions from the greater Methodist body in 1849, it took some 20 years for the chapel to become established in Norwich, at later times the sect merged into the United Methodist Free Church Movement. Registers for the Belvoir Street chapel cover the period through to 1890 then break for 47 years resuming in 1937 and running to closure.
